In old time there was one village in which there were 100 houses. There were neither electricity nor any other source of light at night. People used to come home before sun sets. They all become habituated to this and were able to manage everything without light.
One day a villager went to nearby town and He bought a Candle and Matchbox. He came back to the village and lit that candle and there were light in his house. Among all the 100 houses now one house had light.
All the other 99 villagers saw that, that house is having light now. They were very anxious and feeling very uneasy. So to know what is happening, they all decided to meet that person and went to his house
They saw that it is candle that is giving light. Now in the village one person became superior to other as he is having light at his house.
So now all the 99 villagers have two options so that they all can come at par:
1. They all can go to nearby town and buy Candle and Matchbox and bring light to their houses or
2. ………………..
Yes you got it right, second option which is easy also is that they throw away that one candle and again all will be in same situation.
This is what, people are exactly doing with us.
“People want to see you do good, but not better than them”
You need to identify these types of people in your life and make distance from them.
Simple example from everyday life could be:
1. If one want to quit drinking or smoking, then his friends will say let go for drink, we should enjoy this life…..
2. If one want to try some new things in life, then people will say no one had done this how you can do this….
